This is a print of a matchbook from a nightclub called Troyka on Broadway in New York City during the 1930's. The Russian theme was incorporated in the food as well as the entertainment. This wonderful vintage matchbook cover has a snowy Russian scene with a sleigh and horses, and on each match stick inside is shown a costumed dancer.
Most people keep matchbooks in bowls or notebooks. I put mine on the wall so that I can appreciate and see all sides at once. This is the design I made for this great matchbook, and I have made prints of it so that other people can enjoy it too. The prints have 11"x14" mats - ready to be framed. The words Matchbook Memories do not appear in the matted print.
STYLE VARIATION OFFER: The sleigh and horse image enlarged, without the other elements is available as a variation. It is a print of the large image only, instead of all three images (the front, back and inside of the matchbook). It would come matted in an 11 x 14 inch white mat as the other prints do. Please let me know if you prefer this variation. It would take an extra day for me to adjust the design.
