This vintage brooch by Gerry's Creations of New York is a political pin with blue rhinestones from the 1950s, when "I like Ike" was the slogan of presidential candidate Dwight D. Eisenhower. The pin says simply "Ike," with the cardboard display card behind it reading "I Like...." This would be a great addition to a collection of political pins and memorabilia, and even more fun to wear.

Eisenhower, a Republican, won the presidential elections in 1952 and 1956. This pin comes from a man who was involved in Kansan politics at the time.

No longer in business, Gerry's Creations in New York was started by Geraldine Giles in the 1950's. Gerry's was especially known for its figural pieces.

The pin is in very good condition, with no wear to the silver tone metal and all rhinestones present and bright (though a few are a little off center, but still securely glued). The pin looks like it was never worn. The cardboard behind it is a little discolored and has a few creases but no tears.

Size: 1 1/4 x 5/8 inches (3.2 x 1.8 cm)
