Description

"Avenue Pub. 1732 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana. Built c. 1845.
The Avenue Pub offers one of the best regional and craft beer selections in the city of New Orleans. With its large balcony, being open 24 hours a day, and being placed right on one of the most popular parade routes, this bar has become a staple of Mardi Gras and daily life for many locals.
The previous uses of the pub are unknown, but it is speculated that the building was once a shop with a residence above. Many of the original features of its architecture still remain."

Little Histories aims to tell you the story behind the architecture that surrounds us. Each card is carefully illustrated to show you the beauty of a building and tell the story of where it is, what it is, and what it has been.
