Description

The "Jolly Stars Quilt Pattern" is a digital download pattern to make the Jolly Stars Quilt shown in this listing. The quilt is constructed using two oversized blocks shown in photos above. As designed, this quilt measures 88" x 88" (perfect for a Full or Queen Size bed) but can easily be scaled to fit larger or smaller mattress sizes simply by adding or removing rows and columns of blocks.

This listing is a 10-page PDF downloadable pattern that includes detailed instructions and illustrations for how to make the blocks and assemble the quilt. Instructions are given to make the corner beam units using the Deb Tucker Studion 180 Corner Beam ruler, but Foundation Piecing templates are also provided should you prefer to not use the ruler.

Fabric Requirements:
Fabric 1: (light green squares) - 1.5 yards
Fabric 2: (red) - 1.5 yards for blocks and 1.25 yards for border and 3/4 yards for binding
Fabric 3: (teal) - 1.5 yards for star points
Fabric 4: (gold) - 1 yard
Fabric 5: (background) - 4 7/8 yards
Note: If you use the foundation piecing technique for Block 2 corners, then you will need extra fabric, approximately 1/2 additional yards each of Fabrics 4 and 5.

Notions:
100% Cotton thread, Rotary Cutter and Mat, basic sewing supplies
acrylic rulers for cutting fabrics,
Optional (but recommended): The Studio 180 Corner Beam Ruler

General Instructions:
For all seams, use a scant 1/4" seam and a 2.0 mm stitch length.
If foundation piecing, use a 1.5 mm stitch length.
