Antique etching Easter Hunt Epping Forest second plate after Bunbury circa 1810. Hand coloured stipple etching set in a ‘Hogarth’ style frame. A honest example of this print. Signed recto lower left. Unusually there is still a good margin.

Henry William Bunbury (1750 - 1811) was an English illustrator, draughtsman, and well-known designer of satirical prints. He was the second son of Sir William Bunbury, 5th Baronet of Mildenhall, Suffolk. Educated at Westminster School and St Catharine's College, Cambridge, Bunbury undertook a Grand Tour between 1769 and 1770. He was an honorary exhibitor at the Royal Academy from 1771, and appointed equerry to the Duke of York in 1787. He retired to Keswick in 1799.

Condition: Unexamined out of frame. Paper toning commensurate with age. Frame offered as used with no commercial value. Glass removed for shipping.

Approx. size:28 cm x 40 cm or 11” x 15 ½”.
