Description

Inspired by Mid-Century Modern design of the "Space Age" era, this striking wall clock has been meticulously crafted from wood and features a silent operation, sweep second hand battery operated clock mechanism.

The three satin finish "electrons" have strong rare earth magnets countersunk into their back surfaces so they can be placed on drywall or wood walls by inserting tacks, nails or screws that the magnets will firmly attach to. This unique feature allows the colored spheres to be unattached to the three black ellipses in which they are set. They can also be affixed to walls by means of adhesive backed hook and loop (Velcro) for mounting on plaster walls, glass or other surfaces not suited for nails.

The pale yellow center "nucleus" and the matte black elliptical "orbits" also hang on the wall or other vertical surfaces separately, completing the illusion.

The clock is approximately 14" tall by 12" wide. Note that the name of the item, "Atomic Clock" only refers to its shape. It is not one of the atomic clocks that receive a signal to keep it synchronized with the government atomic clock.
