Find joy in crafting with this paper model building kit. Mount Vernon in Virginia was the home of George Washington, the first President of the United States. The mansion is built of wood in a loose Palladian style and was constructed by George Washington between 1758 and 1778.

Mount Vernon was the place George Washington called home. Its architecture had a great influence on the development of mansions throughout the United States.

PRINTED KIT - this paper model kit is delivered unassembled, in a flat kit with all the necessary details printed on 6 sturdy A4 size paper sheets. You will need to cut, fold and glue the details according to the set-up instructions.

Things that are not included, but you'll need in order to assemble the model: time & patience, a hobby knife, a ruler, a cutting mat or hard surface to work on, white glue (PVA). A pointed stylus, tweezers, and scissors might be helpful.

As a general rule, we recommend our PaperLandmarks kits for anyone from age 14 as building work requires patience, advanced motor skills and ability to read assembly diagrams and instructions. Younger modelers will need adult support and supervision.

Probably these pre-cut models are better for kids and generally beginners in paper model building since they contain less details and no cutting is needed - just folding and gluing:

Paper is sturdy enough but definitely not thick, it's easy to score and cut with a hobby knife (X-Acto or similar). It's not so easy to use scissors as some details are quite small and delicate so we recommend cutting with a knife. We recommend using a white glue (PVA, Elmer's or similar). You can use paper strips or ear picks for gluing tools.
