Made for Bonniers New York.

Set of nine multicolored butter knives with mid-century style. They measure 5 3/4" long and have brass detailing and stainless steel blades. Two each of three colors, and one of the red. Not sure of the handle material- Bakelite? plastic? composite? They are in good vintage shape with just a bit of wear. The brass has a nice aged patina, and the blades just a bit of wear.

The blades are marked "Made in France for Bonniers, M, stainless steel". Bonniers was a world renown department store on Madison Avenue. From the 1940's to it's end in the early '70's it was known for importing and showcasing international modern design.

Use them to spread butter or soft cheese.
