This listing is for a detailed and clearly illustrated PDF knitting pattern for my originally designed hand-knit cakes (which have been featured in Period Living, Let's Knit, Quick and Crafty and several other publications)

This pattern is written in English.

This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitting skills though if you’re not keen on seaming you might find that this pattern is not for you. It is knitted flat in two pieces so there are a couple of seams and a bit of sewing up to construct it. I’ve described exactly how I pick up stitches and close seams and included detailed pictures which help to illustrate this clearly. This pattern has been tweaked many times over the last 4 years and 300 odd cakes that I’ve made from it but I think I‘m finally content with it! I hope you find it fun to do and are pleased with your finished cake.

Finished size: approx 6cm (2 ½ inches) high

Materials that you will need (not included with pattern):
Knitting needles - sizes 2.75mm(US size 2) and 2.25mm(US size 1)
Tapestry needle for sewing up
cotton 4 ply yarn for the cake case
a small amount of DK weight wool / wool blend in brown for the ‘cake'
a small amount of DK weight cotton glace in pink / white for the ‘icing'
a small amount of cotton glace yarn for the cherry / flower
Seed beads for decoration
A pretty plate to display your creation

The pattern is supplied by email in PDF format. It is an original, copyrighted design so please do not reproduce or distribute without first obtaining permission.
