Made with a butcher block architectural plywood made from 100% rapidly renewable bamboo and available in amber. Please note that the material color and tone does vary from board to board as a result of our manufacturing process and the nature of the materials.

Your choice of a heart, star, or house icon can be places on the city of your choice. Just mention your icon location in the “Note to Seller” at checkout. If your engraving details are not included, your board will be shipped with no added icon.

+Care:
Care of your cutting board is simple. We have given it a "salad bowl oil" finish with an FDA approved water-based finish, but as always this is an ongoing process and will need to be maintained. We would not suggest submerging the board in water and only a quick wipe with a wet sponge. You can use mineral oil or a similar food-safe oil to maintain the integrity of this board as needed.

My friends really liked this gift. It arrived on time to take on my trip. My only regret is that I didn'the look at the pictures closely enough to realize the "icon" was actually a cut-out. I would have added the brass inlay star if I had realized, both to make it more visible and safer to use as a cutting board. As it is, I would hesitate to use as a cutting board for fear of food particles dropping in the cut-out and being hard to get out. Love it overall though - and the icon was in the correct spot! :)
