Romantic and practical, this steampunk jacket made from brown and tan jacquard gives an aristocratic air to any Victorian outfit. Made to a period design, the semi-fitted Lovelace jacket fastens with six metal buttons. White lace edges on the collar and cuffs and a pleat in the back add interest and detail.

Fully lined with silky black satin, this gothic jacket will keep you warm while you attend meetings of the Royal Society and plot your next dirigible adventure.

Lovelace is named for Ada Byron, Countess of Lovelace. The daughter of infamous poet and scoundrel Lord Byron, Ada's mother raised her on logic and mathematics. In her youth she became friends with famed mathematician Charles Babbage, and with him she wrote the programming code for the Difference Engine – Babbage's calculating machine. She's regarded as the world's first computer programmer.

The Lovelace steampunk Victorian jacket measures 34inches/87cms in length (at the back, including collar), and best fits a bust of 34-36inches/86-92cms.
