Antique French Porcelain Gravy Boat and Saucer that separates fat from lean ("Saucière gras et maigre" in French), late 19th century.

With 2 handles and 2 pouring spouts that separates fat (gras) from lean (maigre)

The gold trim is tarnished and it has as 3 hairline cracks on the edge of the plate and some little black spots on the porcelain (see pictures).

Features a delightful pattern of cornflowers, called in France "Barbeaux"
The barbeaux pattern is a typical pattern of French tableware. It was put into fashion by Queen Marie-Antoinette, who ordered to the "Manufacture royale de Sèvres" a complete table set with this pattern. Since then, the "décor aux Barbeaux" became a timeless classic and is always sought after for its delicacy and elegance.
