Spring HARVEST 2019 - Fresh air dried Alehoof Herb - Glechoma hederacea from our Canadian Permaculture Food Forest at Made with Love Urban Farm in Kamloops BC - this herb is ready to harvest NOW!!! Early to late spring season, once a year. Incredible wild flavour for an amazing brew!

Alehoof [alternate names: ground ivy, field balm, creeping charlie] is a traditional staple ingredient in brewing. Use as you would hops in your fermentation process. Alehoof imparts a refreshing mix of bitter and sour aromas as well as its subtle edgey wild mint family character.

Find a wild Belgium beer recipe using alehoof/ground ivy here: http://www.ediblewildfood.com/belgium-wild-beer.aspx compliments to Pascal Bauder.

Freshly harvested, weighed fresh and air dried before shipping. Shipped dried and shelf stable, wrapped in paper bag in cardboard box. Fresh Harvest 2019 in spring when ripe and in blossom from our natural sustainable ecological unsprayed untilled hugelcultured happy vibrant soil community permaculture food forest gardens at Made with Love Urban Farm in Kamloops BC Canada.

ONLY one month of harvest annually. Late April and May.

At Made with Love Urban Farm, we are consciously growing what all our hearts are yearning for, Local, small farm, hand-grown, hand-dried, sun-infused, natural sustainable foods Made with Love. As we grow our business, we move more of our buying into small scale farmers and certified organic ingredients, supporting sustainable agriculture in North America and fair trade direct with farmers across the globe.

Wherever on our gorgeous planet, our ingredients are grown, it is essentially important that they are stewarded by independent humans who are farming our earth with love and conscious intention. At present, much of our ingredients are sourced from large scale organic suppliers. As we increase our buying power, we invest your dollars in intentional farming and agriculture that supports small happy farming families, conscious communities and sustainable fair trade initiatives to grow our world with love and intention.

Each time we get a "good deal" on food, someone, somewhere has sacrificed to produce it. Somewhere, there is a struggling family who may go hungry. When we choose instead to acknowledge the "real deal" journey of our foods from farm to plate, we embrace a fair living wage for our groceries and buy into a planet where we honour our earth and our food as sacred, intentional blessings of nourishment, well worth our investment. Thank-you for sharing our vision. Together we are building our earth as we wish to see it.

Our Motto: Happy Healthy People on a Happy Healthy Planet! Thank-you for your conscious spending! Together we are changing our world.
