Rotan medallion earrings are composed of woven rattan wicker lace, raw brass metals and a raw leather cord trim on hypoallergenic hooks. A more modernist and everyday take on the Impala earrings.

The Rotan collection is inspired by a recent surf trip to the Philippines. Having previously worked with rattan caning in a past collection, I was inspired to re-explore this wooden bamboo style lace after observing its wide usage throughout the island of Siargao from architecture to furniture, I fell in love with this raw material once again. Having also studied Industrial Design, the Thonet chair being at the root of its history, I have always been fascinated with this material (that classic bistro chair made of rattan).

Delicately finished with raw leather accents, these earrings have a slight African or tiki island aesthetic mixed with modernist minimal notes.
