Description

A beautiful 2-ply, sport weight yarn in fawn and white; each skein is approximately 4 ounces and 102 yards. Lord Tennyson and Polar Ice are both Champion herdsires on our farm with incredibly dense, crimpy, beautiful fiber. This yarn is spun with a strand of each color in a 'candy-stripe'.

Our alpacas' fiber is grown and shorn in Virginia, and processed into yarn in Gallatin, Tennessee. Our alpaca yarns are all natural and undyed. The fiber is washed during preparation, but there may be some residual dirt, which should be washed out when your project is completed. Hand wash in cold to lukewarm water with a gentle soap. Lay flat to dry.

Our alpacas are raised and shorn in Virginia on our alpaca farm located on the Blue Ridge Parkway a few miles from the Virginia/North Carolina border. After we shear our alpacas, we sort their fiber and send it on to a small fiber mill in Tennessee where it is washed and spun into a beautiful, made in the USA alpaca yarn. You can learn more about our alpacas as well as the yarn making process on our farm webpage.
