Description

Alternatives from left to right:
#148 ultramarine blue Kivi is in very good condition: there appear two minimal chips on the rim. Mold number and Iittala strip exists.
#150 lime Kivi is almost in excellent condition. I suppose it is second quality because of 4-5 little bubbles. Iittala strip is remaining somehow; maybe it is glued afterwards.
#151 lime Kivi is otherwise in excellent condition, but the bottom is extremely thick (about 20mm). Probably it is second quality: the Iittala strip is missing
#152 forest green Kivi is in perfect condition: no marks of usage. Mold number appears. Iittala strip is remaining
The price is for one Kivi votive.
NOTICE: Some of Kivi votives are not yet vintage, even the series partly is.

Kivi (Stone in English) candle holders are small jewels of light designed by Heikki Orvola in 1988. The votives enrich the flame’s glow and multiplies it. Iittala’s glass experts create Kivi using solid colour for the glass mass instead of merely colouring the glass from the surface which makes
the colour especially rich. Kivi is available in several different colors – at the moment 47 - each with their own special Iittala glass recipe.
So first Kivi votives were published in 1988. They were made by traditional Finnish Iittala glass works cooperating with Marimekko concern.
I suppose the reason was that Marimekko brand was well known around the world. Actually the same cooperating is seen on Mariskooli bowls; even the used colours on Kivi and Mariskooli items are the same (and called with the same names).
That's why there appear marks of two brands on Kivi votives: the Iittala strip and Marimekko name molded on the bottom.
They started to use mold numbers on the bottoms in the years 2003-2004. If the mold number doesn't appear, the Kivi is made before the year 2003.
That red Iittala strip tells us about the item`s age too: in the year 2001 that text changed from white to black.
There are 47 different colours published until January 2018. They are not always easy to identify from each other. And there is one more problem in addition: so called “väliväri” meaning colours in between or mixed colours. They are not official colours.
Kivi votives with these väliväri colours are made, when they change the glass mass from one colour to another during the manufacturing procedure. Usually those colours are for sale as second quality. But actually they can be even more valuable than normal colours, because they are more rare. Iittala strips are not used on "mixed coloured" Kivi votives to my knowledge.
Measurements:
Height 60mm
Diameter 65mm
Hole diameter 44mm
Volume 8cl
Weight 280-330g (weights vary depending on the bottom thickness).

Shipping cost is according 0.1-0.5kg box.
You can check your shipping costs from the last photo of this item: first find out the traffic zone of your country, and then look for the weight and cost from the columns.
I combine shipping – also with my wife´s MrsBottlenist shop items.
For multiple items the shipping costs are calculated automatically. Sometimes this automatic system takes too much payments, but no worry: if your overpayment is more than three euros, I will refund your overpayment via Etsy in few days.
As you can see from the chart: more you order, more you save. After that 10-22 euros basic payment the costs raise lineary according the weight in quite gentle way. Check that last photo of the shipping costs!
For multiple orders you can also contact me, so I can reserve the item for you, tell you the final shipping cost and make you a Custom Order manually.

Do not hesitate to contact me in any questions!
I will answer you usually in 1-10 hours.
