Description

'Feather Salutation' is painted on Archival acid free watercolour paper and suitable for a long slim frame or narrow space. The Earthspirit carries a feather much like an emblem of belonging, gratitude and strength in certainty.

Spiritfolk original paintings are intended for gazing upon and often have stories to tell amongst the brush strokes. Some are painted with watercolours on paper and others with oil paint on woodblock, both conveying qualities that have often been described as spiritual, ethereal, thought provoking, storied, meditational and reassuring.

They are intended to assist with meditation (but not limited to) and offer a way of delving deep within. From our external body and visual senses to journeying deep within our subconscious mind and from there, to our spirit selves, ultimate true nature, companion and guide.

'Spiritfolk' paintings can gently guide us to feel more in tune with our internal realisations. Many of us can feel 'lost' amongst our feelings, emotions and senses, therefore becoming aware that they are not at the centre of our being can bring a welcomed relief into our daily lives. We can, therefore, use a little help from visuals around our spaces, can we not?

Certain Spiritfolk may call you from afar, they may draw your attention loud and clear, even though they whisper and cannot be heard in our sense of the word.

Here are a few ways how you can use Spiritfolk paintings in your space:
- Watercolours can be framed for hanging or standing
- Oil Woodblocks can also hang or stand (if hanging you'll just need to measure out on the back, a dot 2/3rds of the way up and centred either side, then tap or screw in an eyelet picture hanger)
- Both can be placed on an alter or special place where you visit or pass by daily
- They can be placed on the floor in front of you at your meditation space
- Most are small enough to travel with you if need be
- Woodblocks are great visuals for tea rituals and can stand next to a teapot or a teacup. They have a protective and sealed coat of varnish over the painted area so that they can be wiped clean. Warm cups can be placed on them, however, they haven't been tested to withstand high heat for a long period of time, so I don't recommend it.
- Woodblocks will always be happy to stand next to plant pots and greenery
- Small enough watercolours may be used in conjunction with journaling and will happily find their homes in such
- All paintings have been cleansed with full moonlight and incense and will benefit from more every so often. However, being placed in full sunlight may fade colour over a period of time and so it isn't recommended.
- Paintings may be charged with crystal healing energy or sound bathed

Blessings on your journey.

FAQs

Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
I have previously produced commissioned artworks and Illustrations both for personal and publication. I am happy to discuss any future proposals and will determine at that present time if I am able to assist after taking into account type of work requested, time and payment agreement. Please contact me via email on elizabratton@gmail.com for further enquiries.
All artwork will be carefully handled and packaged by myself, the artist, to ensure absolute care is taken in this part of the purchasing process. These artworks have been created with my own hands and so naturally they mean a great deal to me to be treated respectfully while packaging them. I also want to ensure their safety as much as possible and so will always use hard mailer cardboard packaging envelopes or tubes for larger artworks EXCEEDING the A3 size. Artworks will be wrapped in brown craft paper for added protection before being inserted into the hard backed mailer.
