✦ TIPS FOR THE BEST RESULTS:

DO use a photo that:

-Has a clearly defined difference between light side and shadow side (this is achieved by having a light source on one side (the left or right side) and a darker environment on the opposite side.

Older film photos from an album work great!! I just need a good quality photo or scan.

-Is taken in overcast, cloudy or soft lighting
-with a light source that is directly in front or behind the subject (ring light or window light)
-Is dark or taken at night
-is a selfie

If you have a photo that doesn’t meet this criteria, it would be best to use an artist who uses computer generated art.

*just a note: My favorite photos are: taken outside, from a fun day or moment (think vacation or an outside activity), and with one or more light clothing colors like white, blue, teal, green, olive green, navy ,magenta, pink, khaki, orange, mustard, etc ( too many dark colors or greys are flat or boring)
