This is a yarn stash buster crochet pattern. I was able to use 4 skeins to make 8 of the larger coasters and 8 of the smaller coasters with yarn still left over.

These pretty colored coasters are made from cotton yarn. While you can use an acrylic yarn, I think that the cotton yarn would work much better at absorbing the moisture from your drink. There are so many beautiful colors of cotton yarn that would be perfect for this project.
