Small 8vo, Signed Limited Edition, First Edition Thus, in the purple morocco boards now faded to brown, decorative blind embossing to leather on front cover, with further embossing and gilt lettering to spine, decorated endpapers, front pastedown bearing the beautiful bookplate of Nancy Reynolds Bagley, printed on double folded Japanese Yamane paper and illustrated and hand-illuminated in 24 karat gold by Valenti Angelo. Limited Editions Club, New Haven, 1937. Number 1333/1500, signed by Angelo No Slipcase present.

The Kasidah is Burton's own mystical poem, written as a way to introduce Sufism to to the West. This limited edition is particularly lovely example of the work, lavishly illustrated by Angelo.
