Why the Moon Tumbled Out of the Sky and Other Poems (Hardcover Children's Book of Poetry)
From poems about a grumpy gnome to an eccentric chicken, embark on a poetic journey into the seasons in this illustrate collection of children's poems, written by poet R. James Sands. Why the Moon Tumbled Out of the Sky and Other Poems invites readers and their parents inside a whimsical world where the moon can't sleep, a cricket plays violin, and the snowmen are the most creative in the neighborhood. Illustrated by the author's seven-year-old son, this collection is certain to capture the imaginations of young readers by inviting them into a world where children's perspectives are the most valued.
This beautiful and whimsical hardcover, color children's book of poetry focuses on the seasons and themes of nature. It was a family project and made with love and has been adored by local children. So we decided to see if we could share the poetry online.
The book features a fantastic poem about our family's magical chicken named Poe, featured in the images.

we love reading this wonderful book. My 4.5yo loves the poetry but especially loved seeing the artwork comes from a child. Mama loves it because he enjoys the stories but the melodic, lovely writing inevitably puts my sweet, wild boy to sleep! ❤️
I’m so thrilled to gift this beautiful book to several of the kids in my life.
