Description

Stangl Pottery birds date from 1940-1978. They are divided into two groups--those produced from 1940-1972 when owner Martin Stangl operated the company and those produced 1974-1978 after his death. They were based on Audubon's "Birds In America" but are more decorative rather than authentic. Some are marked and some are not. Of those marked some are stamped and some are incised. This one is stamped "Stangl Pottery" on the base and a form number is incised.
