Description

"MAKING HISTORY CHILD'S PLAY!"

INTRODUCING OUR VERSION OF SALLY HEMMINGS 18" DOLL, AND COLONIAL PERIOD ENSEMBLE!

HistoryWearz's dress-up dolls are designed for ENJOYMENT and NOT designed as replicas!

Sarah "Sally" Hemings (c. 1773 – 1835) was an enslaved woman of mixed race owned by President Thomas Jefferson of the United States. There is a "growing historical consensus" among scholars that Jefferson was the father of her five children,[1] born after the death of his wife Martha Jefferson, and that he had a long-term relationship with her. Four children survived to adulthood.[2] Hemings died in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1835.[3

This 4-peice ensemble includes;

Sally Hemmings"inspired" 18" doll, long dress, hat, and shoes.

All clothing seams are finished for professional quality and lasting wear. These MADE IN AMERICA outfits are handmade by our very own HistoryWearz™ shop owner in a smoke free, pet free home and office.

Hand wash cold water, line dry.

Please Note: HistoryWearz dolls are acquired from standard quality manufacturers, then dressed in handmade, hand sewn clothing designed by our very own shop owner and seamstress. Her creations are inspired by and created to depict a real person's "iconic" ensemble from a historical or current event.

Each purchase includes a "Hello" greeting card of information about who the doll is dressed to depict, what they accomplished, and/or their impact on society!
