A set of 10 knitting postcards from my series of vintage photo collages, showing a WWI Chicago knitter knitting a sock on DPNs circa 1918.

Here's an idea: you can customize my postcards with stamps, stickers and calligraphy, or run them through your ink jet printer to make unique knitting party invitations, fiber guild announcements or whatever else you can imagine!

How I Make Them

Each image in my "kNotes for kNitters" series comes from my personal crazy/huge collection of antique ephemera. I work carefully to restore a digital copy of the image -- no originals are harmed by my work! -- retouching, recoloring, then collaging the result you see here.

To get the level of photographic detail I want, I have my original designs professionally printed on heavyweight, 80-lb. cardstock, with a glossy finish, using permanent archival inks.

This is a set of 10 standard size postcards, measuring approximately 5-1/2 inches tall by 4-1/4 inches wide.

I package each postcard set in a cello sleeve, and ship in board mailers to prevent bumps and dings to your postcards.
