This is fun knitting and felting pattern that knits up quickly. The suggested yarn is Lamb's Pride Worsted Wool, which is absolutely beautiful when felted up. There is no lining necessary, since the piece is felted, and super sturdy. And of course, this pattern is so darn cute, who wouldn't want a Berry Bag! There are two sizes available - small (the fuchsia bag pictured) and large (the orange bag pictured).

+ Knitting in the round with double pointed needles
+ increasing & decreading

SIZE
+ 9" diameter - small
+ 12" diameter - large

MATERIALS NEEDED
+ Lamb's Pride Worsted Wool 85% wool and 15% mohair, 1 skein in the color of our choice, & a bit of green yarn for the leaves
+ US 11 double pointed needles
+ US 11, 24" circular needle (recommended) (The bag may be knit solely with double pointed needles, but it's easier to switch to the circulars and not worry about dropping stitches.)

FELTING
+ A top loading washer is suggested to felt the bag, but it can be done by hand using the plunger & bucket method to agitate the wool: http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall07/FEATfeltingoldway.html
