This wheel thrown jar with crackle raku glazes is beautiful. Fired using the raku method makes it not safe for moist foods, drink or holding water. It's a great decorative piece and could be used to hold wrapped candy, buttons, coins, etc. I brushed a little blue/green glaze around the rim for interest. The black areas were left unglazed to show the smoked affect on the clay from the firing process. The rest is glazed with a clear crackle glaze.
The bottom has a nice trimmed foot with the date and my signature.

All my work is original, one of a kind art pottery, lovingly handmade by me in my studio in Colorado.

This piece is approximately 4 1/2" tall by 5" wide.
