Show off your taste for fine craftsmanship and nature's beauty with a pair of hand shaped cuff links. Each pair is handmade from the most beautiful and rare woods from around the world and is crafted one set at a time.

Ebony is one of the most intensely black woods known, which, combined with its very high density, fine texture, and ability to polish very smoothly, has made it very valuable. It is one of the few wood species that will sink in water. Ebony is the Greek word for "fruit of the gods". Historically drinking goblets were made from its wood, as they believed it was an antidote for poison, and its use would ward off their enemy's evil intent.

Holly is heavy, hard and whitish. One traditional use is for chess pieces. Looms in the 1800s used holly for the spinning rod. Because holly is dense and can be sanded very smooth, the rod was less likely than other woods to snag threads being used to make cloth. Peter Carl Faberge used holly for cases for Faberge eggs as well as small objects such as hand seals. Several holly species are used to make caffeine-rich herbal teas. The South American Yerba Mate (I. paraguariensis) is boiled for the popular revigorating drink Mate.

They measure roughly 3/4"x3/4". The finish is a hand rubbed and buffed danish oil blend.
