Musical Abstraction... painting the way it feels to 'play' the instruments. As an artist and musician, I attempt to capture the essence and energy of the instrument I'm trying to depict, and transfer that feeling of musicality to the canvas. I have been creating musical abstraction since 2003.

Created over a two year period, this "fine art" original artwork represents a mix of blues and jazz into a contemporary acrylic painting with overtones of abstract expressionism. For added protection, the artwork has three coats of varnish to seal the surface but this original acrylic painting should NOT be hung in direct sunlight as fading will occur over time. Minimal sunlight exposure is totally acceptable.

The foundation piece is 24x30. The finished artwork is 26x32 and framed in Nielsen 57 Black, an extremely durable and vibrant semi shadow box frame. Counting Keyboards invites the eye to examine and count the number of keyboards floating throughout this stunning work.

All materials used in the framing process, including the acid free foam core backing are archival products commonly used in conservation framing. All hanging materials necessary to mount on most wall surfaces are included.

This item will ship to you via FedEx at no charge. A custom crate/shipping container will be built for this item when purchased. All shipping/handling in the continental US is free and included.
