Matcha (抹茶?, pronounced [mat.tɕa][1]) refers to finely-milled Japanese green tea. The cultural activity called the Japanese tea ceremony centers on the preparation, serving, and drinking of matcha. In modern times, matcha has also come to be used to flavour and dye foods such as mochi and soba noodles, green tea ice cream and a variety of wagashi (Japanese confectionery).

I love tea! And I can see these gloves warming the hands of some happy tea sipper who is enjoying a cup on a chilly Winter morning ...

These charming gloves are not only darn near seasonless, but they also have versatility of style. They are as much at home with a lacy frock as they are a funky t-shirt and jeans.

These sweet dainties are hand knit out of a lovely blend of llama wool and silk, in a shade of deep green that makes me think "Christmas Treeeeeeee!" I finished the tops and bottoms of the gloves with varying lace stitches, and the thumbholes are crocheted.

Two lengths of cream-colored lace are woven through the wrists, tied into two neat little bows. You can untie them/adjust them as you wish.

They measure 5 3/4” by 3 1/2” (15cm by 9cm), unstretched.

Hand wash cold, gently. Lay flat to dry.
