Description

These rhodochrosite specimens are perfect for working into your next jewelry piece, or to put into a case as a display. All are completely natural, their colors ranging from a delightful pink grapefruit color to tinges of yellow and some dark green rings.

They were mined as stalactites and stalagmites in Argentina, found in caverns where other materials dissolved around them leaving concentric rings of often rose-colored (what its name means in Greek) formations. There are few locations worldwide where this mineral is formed.

Any specimen that isn't marked through is available. Please see the specimens lined up against the ruler for scale information, the initial page which labels all the specimens and the individual pages which show (by label) the concentric circles and colors in each piece along with their weight in carats.

They are extremely lovely specimens and can be kept whole for display or to put into a piece as such, or can be sliced open to make small concentric cabs.

The prices are grouped as follows:
Large: C G H D F A
Small: L Q K I N J
Rare: M O B E P

Please see pricing schedule below and include note as to which specimen in the group you'd like.
