Description

Tardemah is the little winged horse from The Kingdom of the Fae, who would soar into the sky with the children on her back until they learned to fly.
Tardemah's name comes from the Hebrew word for 'a very deep sleep' and is hand sculpted from clay and has real butterflies wings which are just beautiful x

Faux hair detail and mounted into a beautiful new box frame with Perspex glass that measures 17cms by 12cms 😊

I am in love with this piece!

He’s made from Clay and completely unique and one of a kind, I do not cast anything I make each piece individually so no two pieces can ever be the same

FAQs

All of the wings that I use have been ethically sourced from butterflies and moths that have died of natural causes and are a by product of extensive exhibitions and breed preservation
All of the wings that I use have come from birds that have either died of natural causes at a local pet shop and visitors Avery where they breed rare and small birds or they have been found by myself dead at the side of the road.
I see my work as a way of preserving the natural beauty of something that would otherwise be thrown into landfill which would be a tragedy.
I run a pony and donkey rides and party business which uses its proceeds to rescue Donkeys and ponies that have been starved and neglected (you can find out more at www.facebook.com/harlequinhorses ) and during the winter months due to being regularly worked all of my working animals are clipped and rugged to prevent them from sweating so that is where the majority of the fur comes from, I also collect clean pet hair that have been shaved off.
