♠ Highly unusual medal design, size and composition ~ wonderfully detailed and heavy with very intricate high relief design that's uniquely hand-cast in unknown mixed metals. The ancient designs have been handed down over the years, and secrecy surrounds the actual craft of making the medallions.

♠ The universal design of the "Eye of God" bears an equilateral triangle with a single eye inside it and almost always with rays emanating from it. It symbolizes the omnipresence and omniscience of God, who watches over all things. It is also associated with the Trinity (which the triangle symbolizes in itself).

♠ The Filipinos call this an "anting-anting," which comes from an old Malay word that pertains to an item that is hanging or dangling, such as an earring or pendant.

In the Filipino language, this design is known as "MATA NG SANTISIMA TRINIDAD," which means "Eye of the Holy Trinity." The intricate, high relief design on this medal bears the acronym A A A - on each angle of the triangle. Same design is repeated on the obverse. Further explanation of the acronym on this medallion will be included FREE.

♠ Some say that the Spanish Catholic priests brought the original designs to the Philippines as a way to convert the natives to Christianity. It has evolved into a practice and a belief system in which spiritualism, old folk superstition and Catholism are intertwined.

♠ Some consider the Anting Anting as a magical Filipino amulet or talisman (agimat) that is believed to give spiritual, physical and psychic powers to its owner. There are rituals and orations (prayers) that the owner needs to perform to make the Anting-Anting sacred (sagrada), hence giving effectiveness or power (birtud) to the Anting-Anting. The explanation, rituals and Latin prayers (orations) will be included FREE.

♠ People interested in Philippine martial arts such as, kali, escrima, and arnis have a special interest in these anting anting pieces because these are considered a "warrior's amulet." These medallions are believed to bring protection and invincibility to the wearer when worn around the neck or close to the body.

♠ Perfect for wearing around the neck - includes a brand new adjustable black (genuine) leather cord, with two wooden rosary beads.
Medallion measures 1.65 inches from top to bottom (including bale), and 1.25 inches across.
