HOW SHIPPING IS CALCULATED-
Etsy's website matrix calculates the shipping costs for all our items. The shipping costs includes, shipping fees, labor costs, handling, and materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tissue, etc.).

Packaging Materials- We try to keep our carbon footprint as small as possible by using recycled packing materials we receive from our vendors, compostable materials, and recycled new packing materials. We do use FDA approved plastic bags to protect the integrity and safety of food products as well as bubble wrap for breakables. In these cases, all these materials can be reused and we encourage customers to consider this as opposed to placing in landfills.

SHIPPING METHOD-
We may opt to ship first class mail If your order is under 1lb. Over that will go out parcel post, priority, UPS, or FedX . We will determine the mode of shipping unless you have paid for and requested a particular method of shipment. If you choose a specific method there may be additional charges.

SHIP TIME-
We ship within five business days or sooner. Large or Custom orders can take longer, depending on our vendor's policies, fulfillment time or during certain busy times of the year.

SOME ITEMS MAY BE ON A PREORDER BASIS WITH LONGER SHIP TIMES.

For instance, if we make a ceramic tiny house just for you, the ceramic process takes 3 weeks to complete. Clay has to dry for awhile in order to fire correctly and then goes through several firings. Or if you want 2000 small honey jars that may require a special order from our suppliers.

We will always do our very best to get your purchase to you as quickly as we can.

For any holidays, we urge you to order items as soon as possible. OOAK items, vintage, handcrafted and wildcrafted are all subject to limitations such as seasons and availability.

🌿 What does it mean when we label a product "organic"?

Organic is the method of growing and processing that helps protect—not deplete—our natural resources. Organic foods are grown on land that has been free from the use of synthetic fertilizers, growth regulators, insecticides or herbicides for at least three years.

Our suppliers we purchase our products from hold certification from the International standards board that guarantees that the product has been grown and processed according to strict guidelines established in the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990. By composting, crop rotation, and interplanting to control weeds and pests, organic farming replenishes the soil, and sustains the health of our planet.

Before a product can be labeled Certified Organic, farmers and processors must meet the following requirements:

No harmful chemicals have been applied to the land for at least three years. Farmers and processors pass yearly inspections by an independent certifying agency. Farmers and processors keep detailed records of operations. Farmers maintain a written organic management plan.

Although we may link products to outside sources that give further information on a particular herb or tea, we can't make any health claims here on Etsy.

For instance it has long been known that vitamin C is an essential element needed by our bodies, as is calcium, B vitamins and other things such as flavonoids in Luteolin, we are not allowed, however, to make those kind of statements on Etsy.

All of our herbal and tea products from our suppliers state that they "meet or exceed federal and international safety standards. California's Prop 65 law requires that many kinds of consumer goods sold in California, including herbs and other dietary supplements, must contain a label with language similar to the following:

Warning: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or reproductive harm. In California, this label is typically found on electrical components (especially wiring), luggage, flashlights, jewelry and glassware, to name just a few items — it’s even found on fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts. This warning is also required to be posted in a conspicuous place at hotels, restaurants, gas stations and other public places. We include this warning here in order that our products remain fully compliant with this law."

Although the spirit of the law is intended to ensure public safety, the way it is currently implemented-- according to our suppliers-- "undermines consumer confidence and makes companies in the natural products industry [even small-time farmers and wild crafters like us] responsible for environmental pollutants caused by other, less regulated industries. It also places the burden of proof relating to the safety of any product on companies who are forced to demonstrate that a warning label is not necessary."
