Olympus Sashiko leather palm thimble for traditional Japanese quilting
Materials: leather, elastic cord
This is a leather thimble for sashiko, traditional Japanese quilting. It's worn as a pad on the palm, to support the needle as it is pushed through the fabric. There is an elastic cord on the back that may be adjusted to fit your finger. I highly recommend using one of these!
This leather thimble is the one I take with me when I'm working on sashiko away from home. Once the cord is adjusted to fit, it's very comfortable. I also carry sashiko thimbles in metal for the palm, fingertip, and knuckle.
Not sure if you'd prefer metal or leather? Contact me if you have questions and I'll do my best to help you choose. Many people order both!

Good fit for my fat fingers and extremely soft. Life changing purchase, no more holes in my fingers 🤗
Super comfortable. I was able to loosen it up a little by undoing the knot and retying it. I highly recommend this one.
Thank you to one of my favorite sellers. I am on the east coast and they are on the west. I order within 3to 4 days, I have my products. This thimble is nice and the Japanese Cotton Fabric is Beautiful and nice. Smooth transactions and fast shipping.
My second one! I lent the first to someone I just taught to do Sashiko! Works well. I re-tied the knot so the elastic was a wee bit looser.
