*** NEW AND IMPROVED MATERIAL!! ***

For those who bought my previous batch of carving blocks, you would realize that the colour has changed from white to a very nice shade of vintage cream.

Apart from the change in colour, this block now carves better (less stretchy = less distortion when carving and stamping), inks better, and stamps better!!

And what's really important, the price remains the same. ;)

For those who are new to this, read on to find out more about my favorite carving block!

------------------------------------------------------------

++ Measures 15 cm (6") by 6 cm (3.5") by 1 cm (3/8") ++

In case you were wondering what material I use for the majority of my stamp carving, this is it!

I have experimented with more than 10 types of rubber from all over the world, whereby most are a huge disappointment! If you are into stamp carving like me, you know what I mean!

This rubber block is of a good material which does not crumble (very important for carving fine details!). It is not too soft, nor too hard. Just right! It is also thick enough to print, without the need for wood mounting, yet not too thick that it is difficult to hold when you are carving. :)

Other great features include: transfers image from tracing paper clearly, clear lines when drawing directly onto block with pencil, very durable, doesn't disintegrate easily, smooth, heavy and sturdy, easy to cut into smaller pieces and good to use with either the penknife or lino tools.

Honestly, I have to say that the only rubber block that can beat it in terms of quality is the hankeshikun from Japan. But then again, the hankeshikun costs a lot more!

Do try this out if you are frustrated with the ones you have and do not want to spend a fortune! ;)

** This listing is for one piece of rubber block only. If you wish to purchase more blocks/ half a block, just convo me. I'll be glad to combine shipping or cut the blocks for you. **

** I still have half a dozen of the white version left. If you wish to buy that instead (esp for repeat customers who want some form of uniformity in their stamp collection), just email me! **
