Description

This bright blue insect cameo necklace is designed and handmade in the City of York. The ceramic scarab insect cameo, inspired by the Gothic aesthetic and Victoriana cameo jewellery has been handcrafted from white earthenware clay. The bright blue insect cameo pendant necklace is threaded on a silver-coloured chain, and is perfect for night or day wear.

Consists of:

* Handmade ceramic insect cameo pendant, glazed and fired, marked with the Skullduggery Ceramics’ Maker’s Mark of a skull and crossbones.

*The cockroach insect is set in a vintage Victoriana cameo frame.

* Glazed in a semi-transparent bright blue gloss glaze.

* Threaded on a silver-coloured chain, approximately 64cm, with lobster clasp fastening.

* Available in other colours by request. Please convo me to discuss exactly what you would like.

Finished pieces are slowly dried before being biscuit fired up to 1000°c. Each piece is carefully waxed and hand painted with 3 coats of food safe earthenware glaze, before fired for a second time up to 1050°c.

These pieces are handmade and delicate; please avoid dropping your necklace as delicate ceramics might break. Avoid wearing your necklace whilst showering or swimming.

Before you order, please have a look at my shop policies.

FAQs

Many of our items are both heavy and delicate in nature. Consequently I make sure everything is well packaged for a safe journey.

All larger value and heavy items are shipped with delivery confirmation, to ensure that items arrive to you promptly. If you have questions regarding shipping methods or costs, please convo me. Unfortunately other cheaper courier methods will not accept or insure fragile or ceramics items, therefore I have chosen the most reliable and traceable methods for shipping.
Please convo me with further information about your request and I can prepare a quote and an estimate on preparation time. Almost all items can be prepared in different glazes, or with personalised wording.
I make so many different things, many of which are limited editions or one-off prototypes. If you see something you'd like on my Instagram account, please contact me to sort out a custom listing
