This is one of my more magnificent glass stones.

It depicts a moth winged classical mythological figure, maybe a faun, perhaps a magical fairy, or probably the god Pan playing a pipe while resting on a tree stump.
The glass itself is a very pale light sapphire blue and the motif is done in reverse intaglio and frosted.
Judging from the sharply defined edges of the carving and the fine detailing, this was probably machine carved as only the old Czech glass masters could do. (In real life this is incredible).
A very fine quality stone, the edges are beveled and softly facetted in the front, and flat on the reverse. Measures about 25mm or about 1" in length.

A great gift as is, or in a setting, for the musically minded friend or the lover of the Classics.

Example has a small chip that I did not notice at first; you will receive a perfect stone.
