Sphinxes appear in the tales and art of many cultures from Greece, to the Middle East, and into Southeast Asia. This particular Sphinx is inspired by Persian Empire imagery, though I've carved him in a more medieval European style. He makes an excellent companion to my "Capybara" print.

4x6" hand-pulled woodcut on 8x10" cream BFK Rives rag paper. Archival oil-based ink. Signed and numbered. Edition of 50.

Shipped flat via First Class Mail.
