FLCTY Sweater Pattern #7 – Make your own simple and seamless brioche sweater!

Fancy another nice, chunky and simple brioche sweater? Brioche knitting beginners will be comfortable to follow the instructions, as well, as it they are not written down as a chart, but explained step by step. This sweater is knitted from top to bottom in one piece and therefore seamless (and no sewing pieces together is required). Yay!

Please note: This pattern is written for continental style knitters. You can find a blog post on how to change the pattern if you prefer English style knitting:

Adult Size M, loose fit (One size fits many)
The pattern is onesize, but includes tips how to easily make another size.

Length: app. 53cm // 20.8"
Width: app. 54cm // 21.2"
(measured flat, after blocking)

Recommended yarn weight: chunky. A 50g ball (1.75oz) has a yarn length of 90m (98 yds).
I used 10 x 50g balls of yarn for this sweater
Knitting needle size: 5mm / US 8 / UK 6
Gauge basic pattern:
32 rows x 11 stitches = 10 x 10 cm // 4 x 4"
>> Please note: Some brioche knitting patterns count 2 rounds or rows as 1. In this pattern, it's not like that. Every round or row counts as one.

Pattern language: German and English - PDF

This product is a digital PDF download. You are not purchasing a ready-to-wear piece of garment, but the instructions how to make your own new sweater!

Required techniques: knit, purl, brioche knit, brioche increases and brioche decreases

I still consider myself as a beginner knitter, and I can honestly say the pattern is very easy to follow. I’ll update once I’ve finished the sweater.
