This is "Catcher of Souls," a woven piece that can be hung on the wall or set or propped for display. See the vortex?

This is a double-walled, woven, piece, with space between the walls and between the inside and outside bottoms. It was begun at the center front, and coiled outwards, then around the edge, and ended at the center back. It is very challenging to end weaving at the center.

Woven of smoked vine rattan, which is naturally this rusty color, and bound with fine waxed nylon. The faces are made of grantex polymer clay, and were fashioned to have cracks and look “stony.”

This piece is one of the "face baskets" I am known for and have exhibited across the US in fiber and fine art exhibitions.

It is approx. 10" x 2.5"

Frequently asked questions about BasketsByPamela

Custom orders take about 4 weeks. This gives me time to find the materials, prepare, weave, let it dry properly, and then ship. If you need your basket faster, please send me a message BEFORE you buy. Some items can be hurried, some cannot. There is an extra fee, payable in advance, for "Rush" orders.
Baskets listed as "green" in my shop are made with wild, natural vines and other plants that are gathered sustainably and woven fresh, by me, one at a time. No chemicals or pesticides, either in the growing, or the making!
