This is a hand-made bronze Hair Comb by David Blonski. This comb has 8 tines and the width is 4 1/4 inches and the longest tine length is 3 3/4 inches.

Each hair comb I make is individually hand-sculpted by melting and fusing bronze wire with a jewelers torch into the desired pattern. For this reason, every barrette is a unique individual and there will be subtle differences between each one but they will look nearly identical to the barrette pictured above. I have been making bronze jewelry from more than 35 years using a rarely used "fusion" technique that has only been mastered by a handful of people. This unusual technique allows me to create pieces in a very free-form and fluid manner allowing me to create original designs that you won't find anywhere else.

The color of polished bronze is virtually indistinguishable from 14K gold but my jewelry will softly yellow and dull with age which many people find desirable. However, the original color can be restored to a bright shine with nearly any type of metal polish.
