“Cafe.” Drawn by hand, this illustration is inspired by Bean Hollow, a cafe that operated in a historic (c. 1930) building in historic Main Street, Ellicott City, Maryland. 

The artwork has been digitized for immediate download after your purchase. The high-resolution file can be printed as large as 16" x 20" at 300 DPI. Moulage Collection watermark does not appear on the high-resolution files.

About Main Street, Ellicott City, Maryland:
The town was founded in 1772, with buildings on Main Street being added through the mid-20th century. The oldest buildings are built of beautiful local granite. Because the town was built around mills, which were powered by the water of several converging rivers, it was always prone to flooding. After devastating floods in 2016 and 2018, the county announced a flood mitigation plan which will demolish ten historic buildings, which had been used as both businesses and residences. While the plan has been grudgingly accepted as the only realistic, immediate plan to prevent future loss of life, the loss of the historic buildings is a tragedy.

As a local artist, I was moved to create this series of illustrations that captures the spirit of the historic street and town, and the lives that were lived here.

To place your order for custom artwork, purchase the example in my shop that is the size and materials that you want. Since everything I do is custom, your artwork will not have to match one of my existing examples.
You should order as far in advance as possible. Placing your order reserves your spot on my schedule, and when you order well in advance, I'll contact you as we get closer to your event date to get all of your updated content for the drawing.
You can choose your lead time from the drop-down menu when you add a drawing to your cart. If you don't have a deadline and would like to receive the drawing as soon as possible, I can usually have it to you within a couple weeks after you place the order.
