Description

Russel Wright Casual China Restyled Fruit Bowls in Ripe Apricot.
Wright redesigned the entire line in the late 1940s.
One of the bowls has the wider base.

Measurements: 5 7/8" Diameter

This listing is for one set of four bowls; the quantity available is located in the drop-down menu under the price.

Condition: Excellent. No chips, no cracks, no crazing. The glaze is shiny and bright.

Casual China is truly a Mid-Century Design - the materials reflect the concerns of growing families. The durability defied mishaps in the kitchen - advertising included young children unloading the dishwasher. This china was designed for three meals everyday.

Casual China produced by Iroquois is vitrified ironstone - fired to 2200 degrees. The kilns are so hot that the glaze reacts with the clay and melts so that it actually becomes like glass. Stain resistant, chip resistant - the plates defy the ordinary wear and tear of time.
