Aiyyyyee! Putting up some of my matted prints.
Gatherimg Ladybugs will always hold a special place in my heart. This is the painting that I feel finally gave me my voice as an artist. Weird, sad, a little creepy, nostalgic, melancholy.. overall me.

This is an 8x10 MATTED print of an original Ela Steel mixed media painting. This surreal inspired painting features a corseted woman partaking in one of my favorite childhood pastime: bug collecting.
The original painting was a mixed media piece: collage, oils, and lace fabric were used. It is from my Morphology series which consists of highly stylized women becoming or closely associating with insects and other wonderful crawly creatures.

I love her so much. The detail and concept are amazing. Can’t wait to have more originals. This is now hanging in my studio and I’m so glad I get to see it everyday.

Returns & exchanges
