IMPORTANT: Details are available following the description. Please, read on. Thank you.

This beautiful ring derives its aesthetic impact from the Etruscan revival influence which was very much in vogue during the mid to the late 19th century.

As a jewelry movement, Etruscan revival exploded in popularity when the Etruscan tombs were first uncovered. and the revival of ancient techniques were used to create very complex and beautiful pieces of jewelry.

This beautiful specimen was crafted in France, in 18K solid gold, and is lavishly ornate. The face of the ring is an oval shape which projects the ring 8.5mm off the finger. The base of the ring is a gorgeous cobalt blue enamel. It is finely decorated with gold volutes and scrolls and is covered with decorative beads of natural red and white gems.

The oval base is held solidly and attractively with a gold crown which continues as a filigree gallery giving way to the solid gold shank. This is a well crafted and massive ring which has remained in excellent vintage condition. In fact, after polishing, it looks practically new.

You could wear this lovely piece every day. But if you wore it in the office, your boss would probably discover that his/her staff productivity has dropped considerably with everyone stopping by to ask you many questions. It is that gorgeous!

Size:5 1/4
size of the face of the ring: 22mm x 17mm
projection outward: 8.5mm
weight: 7.5g
Material: 18K solid gold, stamped gold, enamel, small precious stones
Period: late Victorian, 1890s
Style: statement, dinner, period ring

condition: excellent estate
Additional remarks: stamped with the French eagle head assay mark. Also features a maker's stamp
