Vintage 1930s Black Crepe Bag. Hand Bag, Clutch Bag, Purse, Thirties. Vintage Accessory.

Only 1 available

Rare find — this item is hard to come by.

  • Vintage from the 1930s
  • Materials: Crepe

- Beautiful & unusual 1930s bag. Hand bag, clutch bag or purse.

- Lovely inky black crepe bag (my Aunt assures me it was her Mum's in the '30s and it does look to be that period, I have also double checked with other vintage experts!)

- Measures 11" across and 9" 'high' excluding handle.

- The handle is plaited and there is a very stiff bar (feels like metal) inside across the top of the bag, to hold its shape.

- There is a zip up pocket with a fairly heavy duty metal zip that is a little stiff but working fine, inside the pocket is a 'Made in England' label.

- The lining is a smoother, silkier fabric and is perfectly intact.

- Also another pouch with no fastening, again, no holes in lining.

- Very lovely clean & undamaged condition all over.

- A rare & very usable vintage accessory.

A bit of a late review, but I love this so much! I have been wearing it as a dress with t shirts underneath, I was worried about it being seethrough but it isn't at all. I wear this when I'm having a bad day because I always feel better and more confident, its such a pretty shape xx

Excellent period menu card. Although a business has paid for advertising space, they have not bothered to provide a contact number nor address. I guess if you did want to use them you would ask at the restaurant for further details, or look in the phone book. There are several addresses on the menu card but they all relate to the restaurant chain, all now defunct, two of the premises are now shops, one demolished, one now a private house.

I love this robe so much! It's just as described and is so flowy - I am constantly wearing it around the house. Delivery was also so quick and it came with the cutest note. Thank you Susie

Beautiful and stylish hat, bought for a vintage event in May. I can't wait to wear it.
