This pin looks similar to jade, but may just be glass. It is a very pretty piece with a Victorian design featuring a oval cabochon, raised and collared with filigree metal in a multi-tiered fashion. It is marked with the name, SCAEL 025 and measures 1 ½ inches wide, 1½ inches tall. It weighs 10 grams.

This pin was purchased in San Francisco in 1970 and was probably made in India, although it is not marked as such. The metal finish is gold in tone. Condition is very good, but there is a loss of gold on small areas of the filigree (seen in the enlarged photo, but not really that noticeable) and a bit of tarnish on the clasp.

Thanks for looking. Please email me if you have any questions.
