I just wanted to say thank you! Receiving the alert that the ring was in my mailbox today was a wonderful surprise. In the spur of the moment the other day I decided to add to what I had already picked out for my wife to try to make her first mother’s day as special as I could. She loves spoon rings and I knew this was the one for her. The day after I made the purchase she asked me if I would find her a cool spoon ring. I had to turn my head as not to laugh and let her know I had done just that about 14 hours earlier. I never expected it to be here before Mother’s Day, my mind is blown! You have 2 very happy customers. Thank you again. Happy mother’s day to the moms in you’re life!

    Sincerely ,
    Philip

I started out making rings from both sterling and silverplate and what I have found is that silverplate doesn’t tolerate the process well. Either the propane torch will make the plate bubble, or bending the metal will make it crack and flake off. I do have a few silverplate rings in the shop, but they are the exceptions and I have many more failures on my desk than successes. Sterling silver is ideal for bending into heirloom rings that last.
Sterling is essentially nearly pure silver. It is solid and workable. Silverplate is a very thin coating of silver, kind of like aluminum foil, over a base metal of another kind. It is finicky and delicate to work with.
The short answer is no. The long answer is that the shipping regulations in other countries (EU especially) make it very difficult and expensive for Etsy sellers and I would rather not do it.
Please order the ring size you need. If buying as a gift, just try to get a ballpark size and your friend should be able to adjust it up or down a bit to fit. Or be sneaky and let her try on one of your rings! 😁
I accept custom orders! All custom work must be prepaid.

Examples of custom orders are:

1. Turning a piece (one or more) of your silver flatware into jewelry. In this case, you will ship the spoon to me and I will create the piece and ship it back to you.

2. You request a piece (one or more) to be made from a particular pattern which you don’t own. In this case, I will buy the spoon(s) or fork(s) in the pattern you requested and create your piece.

In either case, I will be in touch throughout the process to iron out specific details.

3. You request a specific phrase to be stamped on one or more keychain spoon tags, or a monogram or name to be engraved on a piece.
