This chair was almost done for when torrential rains flooded the previous owner’s home. Soggy but salvageable, the chair was pulled from the scrapheap, stripped to the frame, and rebuilt. All foam, fabric, and cotton have been replaced, the coil springs retied, the Queen Anne legs given a new high gloss enamel finish, and the entire piece reupholstered with a print from Amy Butler’s Nigella collection (convo me if you’d like to request a swatch). Although the original maker of the chair is unknown, the previous owner claims a family member purchased the piece in Chicago more than 30 years ago.
