Description

A stunning older UITA Navajo tufa cast silver roadrunner pin.

The design of this beautiful pin is unusual compared to most roadrunners and similar pieces, where it is highly stylized and full of character. It is cast in solid sterling silver and is marked for UITA 24, which is associated with Wide Ruins Trading Post.

The United Indian Trader's Association was incorporated in the 1930s to endorse genuine Native American art and standardize a level of quality among work being sold. Pieces that bear the UITA marks are always of significant quality and command a premium today due the quality as well as the history and scarcity of examples.

Measurements: 1-7/8ths inches wide by 2 inches high at it's widest points.
Condition: Excellent, with no damage, and a pin that works perfectly.
Age: 1940-50s
Marks: Sterling, UITA 24 (Associated with Wide Ruins Trading Post)
Weight: 9.4 grams.

We specialize in fine Native American silver, but we also have a large and varied inventory, so please stop by our Etsy shop! You can also follow us on Instagram (@BrantiquesAndMore) to see more inventory, upcoming shows, and special collections.
